About Bora

Sunkissed and bubbly, with a slight dusting of quirk, athleticism and smart girl charm, Actress and Model, Bora Jasa is Ms. Nevada United States 2024 with a platform supporting Children's Mental Health with a focus on fundamental self-esteem. She is also a children's book author. Her upcoming debut book "The Ugly Lobster" will be donated to classrooms throughout California, Nevada and the non-profit organization, A Place Called Home that provides protection and support to under-advantaged children with art and activities to achieve social, emotional, and economic success.

 

An accomplished actress and model, she is best reminiscent of an Asian Cameron Diaz with a hybrid look of Tia Carrere and Maggie Q's Nikita. Bora was raised briefly in San Francisco before moving to surf city capital Orange County for the remainder of her childhood. A natural water baby, she spent her childhood eating, breathing, living in the water. With a natural gift of movement & artistic vision, she founded her own dance team at the age of 17 & led them to 2nd place at State Championships for 2 consecutive years. She immediately became an in-demand choreographer throughout the city. As she coached and choreographed for several years helping others to hone their dancing skills, she honed her acting skills at an intensive acting conservatory.


Career highlights include starring in numerous nationwide television commercials & print ads for top brands such as CitiBank, AT&T, L'oreal, Volkswaagen, Target, Amazon and many more. She has also portrayed characters for several TV series: CBS's hit series S.W.A.T, Better Things on FX, a supporting role in the feature film, Good Kids starring Ashley Judd, CW's 90210 and the supporting role of Sharon in award winning Film Director, Yemane I. Demissie's feature film, Dead Weight. The film premiered at London's Black Filmmakers International Film Festival. She has also been considered as Series Regular for a Netflix Marvel Series as well as several prominent roles in hit TV series such as Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci's, Gang Related on Fox as a recurring role of a sexy & lethal Korean mob boss and was in the running for the duo's CBS remake of Hawaii 5-O as Kono Kalakua. 

A lover of adventure & travel, she's always up for new thrills and experiences. Never a shrinking violet when it comes to food, different cultures and new experiences, some of her favorite activities include horseback riding, fishing, snorkeling and ATV riding. With her spontaneous & fun-loving nature, she has traveled solo to several countries, with adventures hiking through the Amazon, munching on larvae, exploring dusty bazaars in India and soaking in the monsoon season of the Asian east. A few things on her list of things to do is cook in volcanic pools like Bear Grylls.


Alongside her work in entertainment, she is an entrepreneur, author, motivational speaker and a caregiver for her mother who is a quadriplegic from a traumatic brain injury. As an entrepreneur, she held a successful business providing custom painted wine glasses for customers throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Australia.
